Tigers and Elephants and a wide variety of untouched & untamed wildlife.
The park is home to about 50 species of Mammals, 25 species of Reptiles and
around 580 species of Birds! Search the silence through silent and thick
dense SAL vegetation which will open your eyes to species of FLORA &
FAUNA that You've never known existed.
The Hideaway River Lodge

The
First of its kind from a professional hospitality chain in India, The
Hideaway River Lodge is an effort to provide a genuine wilderness experience
in Corbett Tiger Reserve. Its location in the heart of the reserve forest
and on the Ramganga River makes Hideaway River Lodge an ideal for those who
want to be in close proximity to one of the natural wonders of the world,
lush Sub-tropical forests and the bountiful flora & avifauna. One can
look forward to exciting game drives in open 4WD safari vehicles led
by experienced Naturalist and lot of exciting activities like Mahsheer
Angling, Walking through the forest, birdwatching, Elephant Rides in the
wild.
The Bird Life in this wilderness is also very rich with more than 600
varieties. Every flower truly enjoys the air that it breathes. The morning
sun sets the hills on fire in rich vibrant hues. The rough rocky terrain and
the land formations are unbelievable. The reserve truly offers a moving
tribute to the nature lover and the photographer of the wild.
Spread over 3 acres, a cluster of luxury tented accommodation folded in the
laps of nature and wildlife protected by solar fencing. It's at a stone
throw distance from the River Ramganga.
Location
Located in the Corbett Tiger Reserve on the periphery of The Corbett
National Park is on 8 acres of private land which is contiguous to the
reserve forest.
Access
By Road : 280 Kms from Delhi - 200 Kms from Haridwar & 227 Kms from
Rishikesh.
By Rail : Daily Overnight train from Delhi Corbett Link Express goes
up to Ramnagar and from there one can drive for 1.5 Hrs to reach The
Hideaway River Lodge.
By Air : Daily Flight up to Pant Nagar Airport from Delhi by Jagson can be
taken. Special Charter can also be booked up to Pannagar and from there The
Hideaway River Lodge is approximately 90 Kms / 2.5 hrs.
To reach the lodge one has to take the 4WD Safari jeep from The Corbett
Hideaway and through the Durga Devi Gate of the Corbett National Park across
the Ramganga River to reach The Hideaway River Lodge . The Corbett Hideaway
is right on the way to The Hideaway River Lodge on the fringes of The
Corbett National Park.

Accomodation
On the forest backdrop 10 Thatched Roof Cottage Tents on a plateau provides
a clear view of expansive forest and grassland. Each Cotttage tent has
bedroom room size -14 x 12 ft: have a provision of twin/ double bed as
per your choice, with side tables, sitting area, luggage rack, dressing
table and a cupboard for hanging clothes. Attached bathroom of 6 x 12 ft is
with running hot (morning & evening) and cold (throughout) water. Very
hygienically laid bath area , western toilet ( WC) and washbasin . Each
cottage Tent has private veranda of 4 x 12 ft where one can enjoy a hot cup
of tea or coffee on a rocking chair, read books and of course view the
resident palla's fishing eagles nest, the grassland and the River.
Dinning
A thatched structure overlooks the dense valley. It's a multicuisene
dinning with interactive and front cooking concept . The meals are cooked
fresh and directly served on the platter by our Chefs. Evening Tea/ Coffee
with light snacks is laid out either in the Lawns or at the dining.
Unforgettable evenings with the Bonfire , Bar- be-que can be explored with
the Indian & imported liquors, wines and spirits.
ACTIVITIES
Angling
: The challenge and thrill of an encounter with the Mahaseer (barbustor)
a sport fish that attracts anglers from all over the world which not only
rules the Indian waters like the tiger does the jungle, but also fights the
way no fish can. It's patience and passion which rewards the anglers (catch
! click photographs ! release !).
Elephant Safari : The best way to explore , undisturbed
by the mechanical roar of the jeep, open to the skies accompanied by the
rhythmic scuff scuff- scuff of Elephants feet and the creeks of the
wooden Hauda's and the ever attentive Mahout. The Mahout would be pleased by
your presence when he takes the elephant for a bath in the river. The
Hideaway River Lodge has private Elephants of its own for Elephant Safari
Jeep Safari : Jungle jeep safaris would be conducted on
4x4 safari jeeps. Vehicles ensure comfortable seating with a good elbow room
and wide angle view. The drivers-Naturalist are well trained and qualified,
who not only know their game but also there guest.
Bird Watching : As you walk through the trails your own
thoughts are broken only by the twitter of myriad birds. A very rich zone
for bird watching.
Village Walk : Explore the local culture of Kumaon and
also create an awareness amongst your self's about there living style which
is basic, simple & rustic.
Natural Pool : A self inducted beach and a pool by the
nature were you can spend your afternoon with your family.
